The charter sales manager shall develop the Etihad Cargo charter product in the market while maintaining a high standard of service to customers. Develop a strategic plan to gain new business and market share, ensuring the charter sales budget is exceeded.
Post holder must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Cargo gained over a period of not less than 5 years, with a proven track of success in Sales, Interline, Strategy or Network Planning; University graduate is desirable but not essential
Training & Knowledge:
Strategic planning and project management skills
Adequate on the job training
Ability to work on pressure
Awareness or air cargo its business drivers
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
High computer literacy
Your responsibilities shall include but not limited to:
Increase brokerage activities which support Etihad’s existing and new customers & bring additional revenue to the Etihad fleet.
Provide customers with charter pricing on Etihad freighters using route analysis, PACS costing system and dealing with external suppliers for third party services to ensure competitiveness.
Provide a weekly report of all charter enquiries
Identify top cargo agents not currently using Etihad Cargo charter services and come up with a strategic plan to make them a customer of Etihad Cargo.
Monitor competitors new routes, pricing and strategic plans
Contribute to the Charter sales target for 2012 by providing cost effective solutions to customers utilizing the EY fleet and network.
Monitor KPI’s for the freighter department and come up with new initiatives to improve sales and operational performance
Monitor competition activities and trends in the charter market.
