The Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan (AKES, P), an institution of the Aga Khan Development Network, Provides educational access to more than 38,000 students through a network of 179 schools across Pakistan. We invite applications for the following positions:
Head of Human Resource Management (Based in Islamabad)
The Head of Human Resource Management will be responsible for designing and driving the strategic human resource Management policy within the long-term strategy development currently being undertaken by AKES, P, as well as everyday human Resource Management functions. This would also involve the development of the organizational structure to deliver the revised portfolio objectives. S/he will lead change within the organization, in relation to its employees, with a particular focus on the repositioning of teachers and the teaching profession. S/he will demonstrate the strategic advantage of effective HRM policies, tools and processes for achieving the vision of AKES, P as a dynamic learning organization achieving excellence and an organization of choice, for employees, parents and students. S/he will provide strategic human resource management expertise and guidance to the CEO and the Board of AKES, P. This position will report to the chief Executive Officer.
The ideal candidate should possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in Human resource management, and organizational Development with 7 or more years of experience in Human Resource Management Position.
Manager Communications & Donor Relations (based in Karachi)
The incumbent will be responsible to develop and implement the communications strategy serving as a primary point person for all communications. S/he will be responsible to develop a market intelligence strategy: ensure effective communication within and with other key stakeholders including donors; and prepare narrative and analytical reports and media based information for dissemination.
The ideal candidate should have a Master’s degree in Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations or Marketing and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in communication specially interaction with donor agencies,
Academic Coordinator
The applicant will be responsible to facilitate and work with school based teams. s/he will liaise with the schools, provide need-based support, such as curriculum and assessment development, and suggest alternatives to further strengthen school development initiatives. Candidates should have Master’s degree in Education and a minimum of 5 years’ school teaching, with teacher mentoring experience. S/he will be based at the Education Office south, Karachi.
