Dean Of Quality-Connect Plus Pvt-Muscat - Oman

The position of Dean of Quality is a senior management position and a Professorial appointment Quality Adviser (Support Services) reports to the Dean of Quality. This position is accountable for providing advice and support for all aspects of quality and improvement for the University. This position reports to the Vice-Chancellors. Specific responsibilities are outlined below. 1. Develop Quality Assurance and Improvement Policy and Practice for Senior Level Decision making in all Areas of the University's Operations. 1.1 Support Senior Management Committees in the development and implementation of quality assurance and improvement activities at SQU. 1.2 Support the quality assurance and improvement activities of all university academic, support services and management committees. 1.3 Provide overall support and guidance for quality assurance improvement activities. 1.4 Support the major functional area plans of the University 1.5 Deliver Centres responsibilities. 1.6 Facilitate, lead and support activities of the Quality Network and liaise with quality coordinators areas within colleges and administrative areas on quality issues and initiatives. 1.7 Work with Colleges, administrative areas and campuses (eg Law) to implement the SQU approach to quality in all areas. 1.8 Develop and maintain the database and information relating to reviews. 1.9 Develop the Centre’s website and print materials as sources of information regarding all aspects of quality assurance and improvement. 1.10 Develop a quality framework/policy for the SQU. 2. Develop and delivery Projects of Strategic Significance to the University. 3. Prepare, advice the University for quality audits

Profile Relevant Phd and relevant experience in quality in higher education setting Excellent leadership skills Active in the field Excellent generic skills including oral and written communications skills The ability to work in a challenging interpersonal situations including a keen sense to listen to staff concerns Excellent Project Management Skills High-level conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills together with a demonstrated ability to undertake complex and high level creative planning. Experience in the development and delivery of workshops relating to quality Ability to liaise and work with government/private agencies. PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN COLLEGES OR UNIVERSITIES MUST
