Qualifications
University degree or
relevant demonstrable experience.
At least 5 years proven Man
Management skills and experience of supervising a department workforce.
3+ years ramp experience.
Good
communication skills in both Arabic and English, both verbal and written are a prerequisite.
Thorough understanding on all Ramp Airside functions and other associated “risk areas” of the appropriate airports within Oman.
Ability to evaluate reports and act appropriately to resolve, using sound judgement and hands-on experience from management background.
Excellent analytical skills

To support the Senior Management Ground Operations in all aspects of Ground Safety & Ground Operations.
Monitor effectiveness of Quality & Safety Management Systems within Ground Ops (QSMS)
Internal/External audit representative of Ground Ops for internal and external client base
To act as a focal point for all planned visitors wishing to audit Ground Ops and be present at all
opening and closing meetings of such audits.
Health Safety and
Environment representation and meeting attendances to internal (Oman Air)and external (OAMC) client base
Ensure “Best Practice” is achieved in all of the workplace locations of Ground Ops
Ensure ” Continuous Improvement” opportunities are soundly evaluated and implemented in Ground Ops
Ensure that any “Corrective Action Plans” following any results of Ground Occurrence Report and Air Safety Report Investigations are carried out in Ground Ops.
Ensure that any Preventative measures are effective and realistically achievable after conclusion of investigations
Assist Quality and Safety Dept to identify Root Cause during investigations and take corrective actions avoid future risks.
Conduct Ground Operations
Risk Assessments and work in close liaison with Quality & Safety Dept.
Train, motivate, develop staff in a positive Safety culture way to ensure buy-in by all Ground Operations personnel.
Represent and develop good HSE practices in Salalah and
Deserts airport with regular visits to
the airport and attendance at appropriate committee forums
Liaise with all department heads to ensure a safe stable working environment for personnel and equipment is available 100pc of the shift duty times.
Represent and support
the Ground Ops Post Holder in relation to Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) and be competent up to IATA/DGR/Level 6 trainer qualification status level.
Carry out any other duties as may be suitably directed by
General Manager Ground Ops.
